    but this kind of building, this voluptuous symmetry, i can't quite understand. i have no experience with this. what might this mean to the inhabitants of the city? what might it have meant to you?

    1. i don't know... such musical shapes, like the curves of a violin, as Miriam says, so sensuous... and yet one has to imagine these cold northern people inhabiting them, mostly protestant, so hard-working and disciplined, so little inclined to luxury...

  4. ooo, scrisesesem o lista cu "lucruri incredibile", si ar trebui sa adaug,la ea, cladirile din Wismar:) dar chiar exista asa ceva?... toate unduirile lor de vioara de nimeni acordata,si toata rotunjimea formelor lor pe care iti vine sa iti culci palma ca pe rotunjimile unei frumuseti perfecte?...ce multe gesturi moi imi imaginez chiar acolo,in cupele arhitecturii lor facute pentur dragoste si contemplatie...
